We’d never even heard of Lady Diana Spencer at the start of 1980. But by the end of that year she was the focus of intense public and media interest which soon was becoming relentless! Was she finally going to be the fiancee of Prince Charles? On this day in January 19, 1981 she was photographed returning to the kindergarten school where she worked in London. The story of the day was that she had just returned from Sandringham where she had spent the weekend with Prince Charles. Did she? LOTS OF SPECULATION!
