On March 6 1984 the Jewish Welfare Board welcomed HRH Prince Charles and HRH Princess Diana as guests of honour at the board’s 125th anniversary gala dinner at the Guildhall. Diana was at that time pregnant with her second son Prince Harry. She is wearing a red and gold chiffon gown by Bellville-Sassoon. The chandelier earrings were made from the watch of the Omani Suite of jewels that she received as a wedding present.
