Between his sexy scruff and adorable surprise appearances, it’s no secret that Prince Harry has been keeping very busy at stealing our hearts. But while we’re all dying to marry Harry, the bachelor isn’t ready for his Duchess Kate just yet.
Yesterday, while the prince was on a 17-mile trek for Walking With the Wounded’s Walk of Britain, reporters asked if he was “anywhere near” walking down the aisle. And the eligible royal echoed the “it will happen when it happens” sentiment he expressed in May.
“There are a lot of things to get done before settling down,” he said. “Another seven miles to walk now, which I’m not looking forward to … eight! Everyone looks forward to settling down, but in the meantime it’s work as usual so let’s crack on.”
As for the work he’s referring to? After spending a decade in the Army doing something he really loved, he said it was “time to give back.” Since leaving, he’s made it his mission to support fellow veterans and become a spokesperson for them because he knows what they’ve been through.
And the inspiration behind his charitable endeavors comes from none other than Princess Diana herself.
“It’s something that our mother did a lot of and that’s the time that you really get to learn,” he told The Mirror. “You get the experiences and you actually get the honest truth out of people.”
