On her way, below, to Southsea’s Sea Life Centre where she picked up a hermit crab. The newspaper reported that she had landed in a helicopter on Southsea Common in a not so smooth landing in force nine gales. It was a very cold day and she thanked the people waiting to see her for enduring the wait in the cold weather.
That same day she was also invited to attend a children’s tea party benefit on behalf of St. Michael’s Church in Basingstoke. The party was in the church hall and the crowds lined the streets to meet her when she emerged from the church.
