Kate Middleton’s fashion image won’t come anywhere near the heights that Princess Diana created when joining the Royal Family. Princess Diana even wore expensive designer clothes to the gym and was a fashionista like the Royal Family had never seen before in its mist. This is not what Kate Middleton’s plot in life will be.

Women from all over the world watch the future Queen of England to see what she is wearing, because it is just a matter of time before her latest outfit becomes the next fashion trend. While Kate and Prince William are fully aware of this phenomenon, they have made a joint decision for Kate to play this down.

“Prince William and Kate both feel it is wrong for Kate to promote herself as a fashion or style icon.” Why? It is the Queen’s wishes; she does not want Royalty to become synonymous with “vanity or frivolity,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It looks like the fashion icon line for the Royal Family is going to stop with the late Princess Diana. There is one problem to all of this, though; while Kate is not going to promote herself as a “fashion icon,” it is not up to her if people watch and imitate what the newlywed wife of the Prince is wearing.

While Kate is already famous for shopping at bargain outlets and mixing it up a bit with designer clothes and generic brands, this too may become the latest trend. While the Queen might be trying to keep Kate from falling into the fashion spotlight like Princess Diana, this is really out of her control.
